Prosharp Profiling | Mail in Service or Visit In-Store
Product Description
Hockeystation offers Profiling from Prosharp to improve your skating performance. We currently offer the Ellipse, Zuperior, Quad and a single 10'.
The latest Prosharp AS2001 all Pro SC allows us to fit both steel runners in the machine at the same time. We will firstly even out your blade runner heights so they are identical. We then profile both runners at the same time to ensure the end result is a profile and height that matches 100% between both runners. We finally sharpen the steel to your chosen roh. If you need advice on which profile and roh(how sharp) then please get in touch with us and we'll be more than happy to discuss.
Need to know......
***This is a new service - we strongly suggest contacting us to check availability before shipping in or bringing your steel in store - limited staff members are currently trained on profiling***
Profiling takes between 1 - 2 hours, the steel will most likely need to be left with us at least overnight and sometimes longer. We may on occasion be able to profile on the spot but it will still take between 1 - 2 hours.
We only profile steel runners that can be removed from the skates so we can profile in pairs.
When changing profiles we recommend running at least two sets of steel, keeping one set as a control set which you're familiar and comfortable skating on.
Depending on the change, it can sometimes take a few hours of skating time to adjust to a new profile.
Maintenance profiles may be needed every once or twice a year to maintain the profile shape.
The middle two thirds of the steel runner is profiled. The toe is then blended into the profile afterwards.
Mailing in?......
If you are sending in your steel then you are responsible for shipping the steel to us, we recommend using a tracked and signed service. You will also need to pay for the delivery back to you, however you can add the profiling service to an order for any additional item(s) on our website which then may put you above the free delivery threshold. Please note, if you place an online order for delivery for additional items with your profile, your whole order will be put on hold until the profiling is completed.... any order delivery eta's at checkout will not be valid and should be ignored.
When shipping your steel to us please include your name, email and phone number... and if you have already placed your order for the profile then please include your order number also.
Please only send in your steel, not your skates.
