HockeyStation Top Ice Hockey Sticks
Finding the right stick can change your entire game. That’s why our we asked Martin our stick guru here at HockeyStation to hand-pick sticks based on performance, durability, feel—tested and specs. Whether you’re looking for quick release, better puck control, or a stick that can take a lot, these are our Martin's top ice hockey stick picks right now for December. No guesswork. Just the best options to help you play your best.
Bauer Pulse Ice Hockey Stick
- New kick point for bauer allows for a very versatile stick. Good for players that feel they have balanced game and don’t need a stick tailed to one specific aspect of their game.
- A stiff blade without a low kick point is something new for bauer, players that like jetspeed sticks will find some similarities with the construction of this stick.
- Boron fibre technology brought from the proto line and ag3nt/twitch sticks allow for a weight of 345g whilst still maintaining good balance and puck feel. The recoil and response that boron sticks provide is also exceptional.
- The reintroduction of raised grip is something I feel has been missed on alot of sticks nowadays and is a welcome addition.
- Personally a big fan of the colour scheme
Bauer Proto 2 Ice Hockey Stick
- White sticks are back in fashion and this is in my opinion the best example of it. Please note - also available in a dark colour scheme as white sticks are rather hit or miss with customers. The chrome on this updated line looks absolutely unreal.
- Mid kick point and square shaft, reminds me of a 2nProXl pro build
- More optimal balance point when compared to the original Proto R
- Designed for players with explosive shots that are looking for some of the latest innovation both from bauer as well as hockey sticks in general.
CCM Tacks XF Pro Ice Hockey Stick
- 375g weight, common for this to be a sweet spot for people.
- Fantastic balance point gives this sticks a great initial feel.
- Ideal for heavy shooters with mid kick and stiffer blade
- Market research was taken from the AS6 Pro stick and changes were made to the construction of the blade to increase the length of time players get that new stick feel.
- ‘V’ shaft shape is one of the most unique on the market, super comfortable in the hands and also helps to keep the blade face from opening on larger shots.
- Focus on maximum power power on shots with one of the higher kick points offered at retail.
- Personally my favourite graphics package of the year, pops in the light but is muted to go with most teams under normal lighting.
- Custom name bars are offered on CCM sticks, for more information please refer to the Hockeystation website :)
Sticks that are on sale in the store that i think are good deals at date of blog
- CCM Trigger 9 pro
- CCM Vizion Ice Hockey Stick
- Warrior Rise Ice Hockey Stick
- Bauer Pastrnak Ice Hockey Stick
GB Mens Pro Sticks
Having a wide range of Team GB Pro stock equipment is an aspect to the store that I find really interesting. This allows people that are new to the sport or even returning customers to see some of the adjustments and quirks that alot of pro players change when it comes to their sticks. Below I have listed a few items we have in store that I personally find interesting. Some of these sticks also come taped from the players, I personally find to interesting to see what pro players do when it comes to tape and could help players that are struggling to find something they like the feel of. Having a look at this range of sticks also gives customers an idea to some of the different curves that are used in international level hockey, also demonstrates how personal of a choice it is.
- Josh Waller Agent dressed as twitch - good examples of bauer dressing a certain build as another for the purpose of promoting the latest range of sticks.
- Ben O'Connor custom blue Bauer Proto r + Proto dressed as a Tracer - two different graphics is cool, especially the blue proto.
- Nathaniel Halbert Bauer 2nproxl dressed as Bauer Sync (this is also the best pro exclusive stick build I have ever used!) - interesting to see a sync graphic with no ER Spine, also demonstrates how that technology has been received by alot of pro players (they either love it or hate it)
- Kieron Brown sync dressed as tracer - shows that some players prefer slightly older builds, hard spot as both builds have ER Spine
- A lot of the Warrior GB pro stocks have heavily customised graphics, these can range from logo’s near the taper of the sticks as well as colour dark blue base colours that cannot be found at retail level, super unique sticks.
