View Full Version : Mighty Ducks Acquire Todd Fedoruk From Philadelphia in Exchange for Second-Round Pick

ANAHEIM, Calif. ? The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired left wing Todd Fedoruk from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Anaheim?s second, second-round selection (59th) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6-2, 235-pounder played 42 games with the American Hockey League Champion Philadelphia Phantoms last season and recorded 4-12=16 points with 142 penalty minutes (PIM). Fedoruk established professional single-season career highs in assists, points and penalty minutes last season. In 16 Calder Cup playoff games, he posted 2-2=4 points with 33 PIM.

In 2003-04, the Redwater, Alberta native spent the majority of the season with the Flyers, scoring 1-4=5 points with 136 PIM in 49 appearances. Fedoruk was scoreless in one Stanley Cup playoff game with two PIM. In two regular season games with the Phantoms, Fedoruk recorded 0-2=2 points with two PIM that season.

In 220 career NHL games, Fedoruk has scored 10-18=28 with 491 PIM. Fedoruk, 25, (2/13/79) was originally drafted by Philadelphia in the seventh round (164th overall) in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft

Following this acquisition, Anaheim has a total of six selections in tomorrow's NHL Entry Draft, including the second overall selection and the first pick of the second round (31st overall ? previously acquired from Tampa Bay). The club also has picks in the third (63rd), fifth (127th), sixth (193rd) and seventh (197th) rounds.
