Coyotes want Morris, Mara inked

Phoenix, like the 29 other teams, has some housekeeping to do before an unprecedented free-agent frenzy begins Aug. 1, reports the Arizona Republic.
With 19 players under contract, the Coyotes won't have to scramble once it starts, but re-signing defensemen Derek Morris and Paul Mara will be their most important task.

Both are young, offensive-minded defenseman the Coyotes believe will thrive under the league's new on-ice rules. Meanwhile, the Coyotes are expected to buy-out the contract of winger Brian Savage.

Savage, who is slated to make $2.85 million this season, was traded to St. Louis on March 9, 2004, but returned to the club after being picked off waivers, as per the trade agreement. The Coyotes will also be looking for a goaltender this summer, and the Republic suggests they may make a pitch for unrestricted free agent Sean Burke.

Good old Savage is still kicking around

He is as good as done. Maybe a team like Minnesota could be a good place for him?

I also read a rumour someplace else, that the Bulin wall may be headed back to Phoenix..but just pure speculation
