Snider, Clarke, Hitchcock, Esche from Wachovia Center.
Snider: Grow as partners. Partnership benefits the fans. Reducing prices on all season tickets. Family section: $20 adults, $10 children.
Kids from Calder Cup Championship team will bring youth & enthusiasm to team. Will be most exciting season ever.
Flyers lost considerable amount of money last few years. Our player rep, Robert Esche, is the best. He knows how to work with management to make this work.
Bob Clarke: We?ll have a good team.
Hitchcock: The red line is an illusion? I am more excited about the smaller rule changes that reward hard working offensive teams. Teams that press the action will be rewarded and are more significant than the removal of red line. Afraid of shootout as a coach, but exciting as heck for the fans.
Esche: Assume go to shootout, look forward to challenge and smaller goaltending equipment. Can?t name one Flyers that did vote ?no? on deal.
Snider: The enthusiasm is catching on with the fans. Our fans are the best in the NHL and will support us. We have more fans than people realize, I hope we won?t be affected negatively by it.
Clarke: John and Tony put on waivers this morning to buy them out. Will sign 7 guys in the next 5 days, including Carter and Richards. Need a defenseman, maybe 2. Rags and Timander are staying in Sweden. Will talk to Malakov again, it will help us if he comes back.
Snider: On ESPN ? they have football, basketball, baseball, and hockey? they treated us like low man on the totem poll and I didn?t like it. Like to see a network pick it up where hockey is their only sport. I?d like to see Comcast get involved, but I don?t have any specific info on that at this time.
Hitch: Our team can take advantage of these new rules ? allowing more pressure. Personnel wise, we are strong in goal, on the blue line at moving the puck, and up the middle.
Snider: On JR ? he tried to clarify what he said? he gets excited? he is a great spokesmen for the sport.
