Crosby has been coveted by every team so should the Penguins pick him and hold on to him or swing a trade with some other team so that the Penguins can fill out a weak lineup?

Or does the new CBA and free agent frenzy so to happen make trading him a dumb move?

Don't flip out and bash me, it's a legitimate question.

I say they keep him.

There's hundreds of UFAs available and a new CBA should help Pittsburg out because the bidding for players won't become outrageous. Also, with Crosby in the organization I think that Pitt would be more appealing to FAs than other small markets.

I'll bet anything they keep him. He isn't going anywhere.

They keep him

Montreal would be very interested in a deal , but I don't think Pittsburgh would

Keep him. Deal Malking if you want a trade a very talented center prospect....

I don't think there is a chance that Crosby gets traded. First off Pittsburgh has what the franchise desperately needs and that is someone to market and someone to bring the fans to the games. Secondly, like LFL pointed out with hundreds of UFAs available why bothered making a deal when every single type of player needed is available. And finally, you cannot get anything better that a young superstar who can be the player who brings the team to the next level, and if Pittsburgh does deal him, put the final nail in the coffin :hammer:

For Mccabe I think we could get a blue chip prospect, mid level winger prospect and a first rounder.

Here's the most 'realistic' deal...

Mario has the perfect baby sitter (last year was M.A. Fleury). Why would he trade that off?

You trade crosby, and the pens won't exist in 2-3 years.

Keep crosby, and who knows what will happen.

Just wondering if the chance to play with Crosby and Mario, might entice some "bought out" players to Pittsburgh? Most of the bought out guys will have a nice paycheck courtesy of their old club and for a reasonable amount of dollars under the new system, they could have some fun with the "Magnificent One" and the "Next One".

Rumblings out of Pittsburgh are suggesting that the return of superstars Jagr and Kovalev are immanent... no 'good' sources.
