ON SCHEDULE: As part of the NHL's new, more unbalanced schedule, the only Western Conference teams the Rangers will face this season play in the Central Division - home-and-homes vs. Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, Nashville and Columbus. Eight games against each of their four divisional rivals and four each against the other 10 Eastern Conference teams complete a Rangers' schedule that is tentatively set to open Oct. 5 at Philadelphia. The home opener is tentatively set for the next night vs. Montreal.
