Wipe the sweat from your palms, put down that lamp and allow your heart to return to its regular beat.
That's because the Edmonton Eskimos were able to make a last minute comeback against the CFL's worst team to escape the embarrassment of losing to the then zero and three Blue Bombers. The comeback, led by a long Ricky Ray pass (one of two good throws on the night) that set up a last second field goal for the win 14-12.
That was quite possibly the worst game I have ever seen the Eskimos played. Their offence was nonexistant with Ray and his receiving core looking terrible. Not only didn't they score a touchdown, they could seem to buy one - even on the one yard line. Sean Fleming had another bad game, with three missed field goals, but accounting for all 14 Eskimo points and redeamed himself with the game winning kick.
I have to give credit to the Winnipeg defence for the effort they put up tonight against Edmonton.
Although a lot of things were flawed for EDM, but fortunately for the Esks, a win is a win and I'll take it.
