Here's a doozy from this Spectors site. I checked the Province Online and couldn't find anywhere David Pratt suggesting this. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough...
THORNTON FOR BERTUZZI?
VANCOUVER PROVINCE: David Pratt suggested yesterday the Vancouver Canucks should rid themselves of Todd Bertuzzi, possibly by shopping him to the Boston Bruins for Joe Thornton. Citing several points, including Bertuzzi putting his Vancouver home up for sale, moving his family back to Ontario and a supposed conflict with head coach Marc Crawford, Pratt feels "Big Bert" should be moved. He believes Thornton may be willing to leave Boston, citing the harsh media treatment he received following the Bruins upset defeat at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens in last year's playoffs.
Spector's Note: Thornton might indeed wish to move on, but there's no guarantee the Bruins want to part with him or that they'd want Bertuzzi in return, which Pratt acknowledges. Sounds like wishful thinking.

Yeah, its a true article. I read it a week ago in the province.
Take what you hear from Pratt, with a grain of salt

Yup..
I heard he wants to play for Ottawa for free. He grew up in the 80's just wishing Ottawa would have a team. I think Todd White for Bert should do. =]
That would be great tread for Van IMO but it sounds like a bunch of BS to me

Not far fetched at all...Bertuzzi & White...
Last mostly uninjured/unsuspended season for each of them...
Todd White 2002-2003 Ott. 25G 35A 60P +19
Todd Bertuzzi 2003-2004 Van. 17G 43A 60P +21
60 points each. Very comparable. Even if Bertuzzi is not quite the pure goal scorer White is. And White didn't benefit from having Marcus Naslund beside him... so Bertuzzi's point totals are, like, inflated... :eek:

All they have to do now is ship Cloutier, Malik, Sopel, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks to the Panthers for Luongo and Bouwmeester. Who is Bouwmeester going to play with though, Niedermayer or Ohlund?
