Both teams have been in trade talks with the draft one day away. The Hornets want both of our firsts for the Toronto native, and the Raps countered with a first, Mopete, and Aaron Williams. IMO two firsts is too much to give up for Magloire. He's a good player, but nothing special and not worth two first rounders. If the Raps keep the picks they can address two of their three needs (center, wing, point). I think they'll go with a wing player with the 7th pick (Granger, Green, Webster, Wright, or Graham) and take a PG with the 16 (most likely Jack), but I wouldn't mind if they gambled on center Andrew Bynum with the 16th pick. I hope we are able to work something out for Magloire, but two first round picks is too much IMO for a team that has many holes.
Babcock won't deal both first rounders

TORONTO (CP) - Raptors GM Rob Babcock was busy working the phones heading into Tuesday night's NBA draft, but would only say Monday he won't give up both first-round picks for anybody.
The rumour mill was buzzing Monday, with reports the Raptors were considering swapping one or both of their first round picks to New Orleans for Toronto native Jamaal Magloire.
The Raptors have four picks this year, including Nos. 7 and 16, plus two in the second round and the pressure is on after last year's draft disappointment. The Raptors are still smarting after they took centre Rafael Araujo with their No. 8 pick in the 2004 draft, held three weeks after Babcock was hired.
Babcock said he wouldn't trade both first rounders because of his philosophy of building toward the future, centred around forward Chris Bosh.
The Raptors announced Monday they had exercised their option on Bosh, securing him through 2006-07.
