As you'll see we've integrated a live chat system into the forums just below the lounge. This is a java based chat application so if it doesn't work for you, you might not have the java plugin necessary to run the applet.
You can download the Sun Microsystems Java? Plugin (http://www.java.com/) to get yourself set up.
If all works correctly, you should be logged into the chat automatically just by going to the page.
This forum which holds the chat is only visible and available to registered, logged-in members.
I would recommend that you do not change skins or log out while on the chat page. It caused my browser to close a few times.
If it turns out that it's causing browser issues for people, I can change over to a popup style that might behave better, but I liked the idea of having it in the forums. we'll see how it goes.
Another potential snag is if you're behind a strict firewall... you may not be able to run the applet. There's nothing I can do about that.
So let's give it a whirl, and see how this thing goes. If a better option comes along, maybe we'll switch... but let's try this for now.
Enjoy.
PS: You can toggle the chat interface from the web page to a popup and vice-versa by clicking this button ---> http://www.hockeystation.com/images/float_button.gif
