John Rigas and his son Timothy fomer owners of the Sabres face jail for fraud in the Adelphia Communications case.
Yet they have their supporters. I am sure if I look hard enough a glowing tribute to thier business acumen by Gary Bettman is somewhere in the files.

What a mess...same situation with McNall in LA. Owner in criminal trouble...almost brings down the franchise.

John Rigas will die before the appeals are exhausted and will never see the inside of a jail. His son, Timmy, will end up in a minimum security country club prison and play golf everyday and network with the other jailed white collar criminals. Life is so tough for rich criminals. :rolleyes:

Sounds like it! He served how much...two years in prison? Should have kept him in there...would've saved Leafs fans some pain.
