HockeyStation.com now has its own Fantasy Football (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1) League for the 2005 National Football League season.

If you're already registered with Yahoo! Sports, just go to the Fantasy Football signup page (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/register/joinprivateleague) and enter the following information.

League ID: 95339
Password: thestation

If you don't have a Yahoo! Sports membership, then you will need to register by visiting this page (http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_register?.intl=us&new=1&.done=http%3A//football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1&.src=spt&.v=0&.u=eglqnnh1b6m8l&partner=&.p=&promo=&.last=&.testid=).

I have set the draft for Sunday, August 14th at 10:30pm EDT. Of course, this date can be changed to accomodate the most participants possible. Please post any questions or concerns in this thread.

There are 18 days until our scheduled draft night on Sunday, August 14th.

Right now, we have have five teams registered, which means there will be bye weeks, which I would not like to have.

So I am putting a call out there for anyone who wants to join HockeyStation.com's inaugural fantasy football league.

NFL fan or no NFL fan, it is sure to be fun! :)

I'm glad you've joined Mr. Demon, but now we've got to hope that someone else does as well to get it back to an even number. I have sent out PMs to some prospective members. I got one bite last night from one. Hopefully another does too.

Also hopefully no one who participated in tonight's draft from another site isn't worn out for another draft next Sunday night at 10:30 pm as well.

Tommorow night at this time we'll be drafting - starting at 10:30 pm eastern, 7:30 pm pacific. Remember that. :)

Now if leaferfan87 signs up before then, we'll have an even eight, which means we wouldn't have bye weeks - that's a good thing.

I've tried to sign up, but it keeps saying the league is full. Just to reiterate what I wrote you in the private message, but I would like the rest of the members know what happened.

I was worried that we wouldn't have got an H.S. member to sign up before tonight's draft, so just incase I opened the league up to the public (which means anyone could join). Unfortunately someone that we don't know at this site did before leaferfan87 was able to.

Sorry again, but like I said, this has been open for nearly a month and I did post several messages urging people to join. Thanks for your understanding. Now back to the draft. :)

Hello Fantasy Managers.

After the conclusion of the two Monday night games, and barring any disputes, the following changes will occur to HockeyStation.com F.F.L. 2005.

- Rec points changed from '1' to '0.25' (Every four receptions will receive one point).
- Pass Yds points changed from '0.05' to '0.033333333333333' (Every 30 passing yards will receive one point).
- Comp points changed from '1' to '0.2' (Every five completions will receive one point).

Also the Yahoo! Sports Can't Cut list has already been removed by the request of a member.

The reasoning behind these changes is basically because of my own fault. At the beginning of the season I awarded too many points in offensive categories. For example, Dante Culpepper had 31.30 fantasy points in his game yesterday, mostly because he got one point for each of his 21 completions. I don't think that's right, considering how poorly he played, so I'm changed that. I'm sorry for any inconveniences.

And I like all my other players too much to just drop one of 'em.I checked, but unfortunately I cannot "Edit Roster Positions" after the season begins. You're going to have to cut someone, pick up another kicker and put Akers on the bench. That's why there are six bench spots.
