They both want to play for their former teams.
So I guess the real question becomes...
Naslund - Forsberg - Hejduk
or
Naslund - Forsberg - Bertuzzi
Scary for an Oiler fan either way.
Would it even be possible for either team to afford both Forsberg and Naslund? Unless they pulled a Kariya/Selanne type deal.

Wow, imagine that..
I don't think Naslund would leave Vancouver. Call me an optimist, but thats the way I see it.
He and Bertuzzi are very good friends, almost as close as he and Bertuzzi.
Why would Naslund want to join the avs, after all that has happened? I don't think so
If this happens, Forsberg will join the Canucks
If this happens, Forsberg will join the Canucks
Good, then the Devils can keep Niedermayer...unless you would be willing to ship Bertuzzi or Ohlund to the Devils in exchange for him?:D

Wouldn't surprise me in the least for Naslund leave the Canucks. Before this article I'd have been surprised to see him back in the NHL to be honest.
So.. what if they go play for a team that has all sorts of cap room?
I wonder if Pittsburgh makes the playoffs if they add tehse two
Imagine if they were to both join.. Ottawa.
Naslund - Forsberg - Alfredson
Havlat - Spezza - Hossa
Yeah, okay.

The only team naslund would play for, other than the canucks, would be one in sweden

I always thought these two players never really got along. :coffee:
Anyway, if this Forsberg character wanted to lace em up with the Nucks that would be tighter than Dolamite.
Bertuzzi Forsberg Naslund
Cooke Morrison Kesler
DSedin HSedin Linden
Bouck Chubarov Ruttu

Sorry Mr. Burns..but I would have to beg to differ..with the lineup
That lineup would be one dominate line, and 3 seriously lacking ones
Kesler isn't ready for next season, to be a 2nd liner. Maybe a 4th liner, or an extra season to develop in Moose country.
Sedins won't settle for anything but 2nd line duty(as they have asked for more ice time, not less), and Linden is no more than a 4th liner these days
 :thumb:
Sedins play some of the toughest minutes in the league and dominate with them. Easily the two most under-rated players in the league. Right up there with Horcoff for playing some extremely tough minutes and out-scoring.

Okay okay Mr Nonis, I'll change it for you. ;)
Naslund Forsberg Cooke
King Morrison Bertuzzi
DSedin HSedin Kesler
Bouck Chubarov Ruttu
And then on defence I think the Canucks will probably sign Blake, Lidstrom, and S Nidermayer. It will look like this:
Ohlund Lidstrom
Jovo Blake
Niedermayer Salo
I think I read somewhere (possibly no where) that Blake Lidstrom and Niedermayer wanted to finish their careers in Vancouver. :]

Agreed
All they need to reach the next level..is a winger..a fulltime winger.
In the past they haven't one of considerable talent, or one for a full season to gel with
Get them this, and they shall reach the next level

Why you sarcastic little...
I seriously think, though, Mr. Burns..that the Canucks will take a serious look at UFA Salei
Seriously, I hope they do..as he is very coveted..and would totally be an upgrade over Malik

A pylon would be an upgrade over Malik...

Sorry about my sarcasm, I've been delusionally tired since thursday. Fourteen hours of sleep in four nights can't be good... :conspire:

 I agree! Bring back Dana Murzyn!!

Now we're talking. Look at that 1-2. :]
The Leafs would be shaking in their skates... until they knocked us out of the playoffs anyway... in Game 6 of Round 1.

Think about it for a moment
If they don't go to the avs, or canucks..anaheim?
Burke is the new GM..looks to change things up, especially the style of game played
Is Colin White available?
Tell you what, we'll ship you Niedermayer, White, and Kozlov for Ohlund, Malik, and Bertuzzi...:D

Floppy on the Canucks?
Time and space will cease to function properly. I'll have no focus for my hatred if Floppy leaves the rotten Avs. If he joins the Canucks, I, I, I don't know what I will do. I'll be lost, set adrift on a sea of mixed feelings. Sure Floppy has talent but he's Floppy, the dreaded rotten Av.
I can't begin to think of the chaos in my mind. I'd need extensive therapy, maybe even shock therapy.

^^^ O come on Tea, we had Messier and Tikkanen back in the glory days (late 90s), what would bringing in another town enemy lead to? ;)

True.. that'd be like Modano or Iginila as an Oiler....
I think I'm having a seisure. Look at all the pretty colours!
Imagine if they were to both join.. Ottawa.

Yeah, okay.
We're a little bit over the apparent cap as is, so we'll need to cut a few million, not add on. But it sure is great to dream! We'd have the best two lines in the NHL, great bottom-six depth, and a very strong defensive corps. If Hasek were to regain his Detroit form we'd be unbeatable!
Anyway, back to reality.

And with Trevor Kidd in for an injured Belfour no doubt...
