The thread about what you miss about the NHL got me thinking about some of the best games I remember watching. So, what are the greatest hockey games you've witnessed (either live or on TV)?
Some of my personal favorites:
- 2000 Stanley Cup Finals, Game 5 - Mike Modano scores the lone goal in the third overtime to send the series back to Dallas, great goaltending by Brodeur and Belfour.
- 2000 Stanley Cup Finals, Game 6 - Jason Arnott scores in the second overtime to beat the Stars 2-1, clinching the Devils second Cup in franchise history.
- 2001 Western Conference Quarterfinals, Los Angeles vs Detroit, Game 4 - The Kings score three goals in the final 6 minutes to force overtime, winning the game in OT, and eventually winning the series in 6 games.

World Junior Championships 2005 from Grand Forks, North Dakota. Team Canada led by Sidney Crosby, Corey Perry, Patrice Bergeron, Dion Phaneuf and Jeff Glass face off against two showboating Russians named Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeny Malkin (little cocky SOB's). Well anyways the Canadians massacre the Russians leaving Ovechkin limping off the ice like the baby that he is. We win 6-1 and boy we leave Ovechkin and Malkin with their foots in their mouths.

I was hoping Canada would kick the crap out of the Russians in that game, after the showboating they put on against the US team the game before. Ovechkin seemed liked an arrogant ass to me during that tournament, and the Russians got what they deserved.

Alright, it wasn't a great game..but..it was memorable
I was in Ottawa, and saw a Habs/Sens game..one of which I would normally never see..living on the wetcoast.
T'was a boring game, 1-0 for the sens..
I went to all of one game last year...
Edmonton vs Atlanta.
Not only did I get to see my favourite non-Oiler in Dany Heatley, but I got to see an all out brawl that lasted almost 20 minutes and included hilights like Mike Bishai ending up in Atlanta's bench and Ty Conklin and Passi Nurminem going at it.
