Didn't see a movie thread in here guys, so I thought I'd start one. What new movies have you seen? Anything good? I know I didn't make it out to many this summer but I did see this little gem called BLINDNESS (http://www.movietrailerlive.com/ct_0004_BlindnessAC) Basically the movie is about the entire world going blind. Pretty cool concept. Here's some more info:
It was adapted from Nobel Laureate Jose Saramago’s masterwork and tells a harrowing tale about the fragility of mankind. Directed by the Academy Award nominated (City Of God) Fernando Meirelles, BLINDNESS stars Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Alice Braga, Danny Glover and Gael Garcia Bernal.
If there is a movie thread already, mods I apologize!!!:slant:

You can always use the search feature to find if a thread exists.
Last two films I saw were:1) Tropic Thunder and I laughed especially at Tom Cruise. 2) Burn after Reading. Again I laughed at all the actors spoofing thier images in a farce, not the best Coen brothers effort but a nice way to kill a few hours.
As for Blindness I attempted to read the book in 2001, but I got diverted and never got back into it.

Thanks KB. I haven't seen either of those movies you mentioned but really want to. Especially 'Burn After Reading'. How funny was it? I really like the Coen bros. They have such a dark sense of humor in most of their movies. Even No Country had a bit in it...not much of course!

Burn after Reading is not the best Coen Brothers movie, but it worked as farce for me in that various actors played charactertures of their images such as Clooney as a Lothario, Pitt as a narsacistic air head, and Malkovich as way too over the top intense. It wasn't the film of the year but it was fun night out.

How was Brad Pitt in it? I'm still not convinced he can act, although I do prefer him over someone like Tom Cruise!

Brad Pitt plays a narcissistic air head, there are some who think it was not much of a stretch for him:laughing: In Tropic Thunder Tom Criuse is very funny as a way over the top Hollywood executive, he is in a fat suit with a lot of body hair and every third or forth word starts with "f". Very funny, even funnier than Robert Downey's takes himself too seriously Australian pretending to be African-American.
