The challenge is formidable, but the Knights weren't giving the impression they were going to be tossing and turning in their beds last night.

"There is so much hype about it," Knights forward and Oilers draft pick Rob Schremp said.

"It's not like we have never played against a great hockey player before.

"I mean, yeah, Sidney Crosby is one of the best in the world, but so was Mike Richards (of the Kitchener Rangers) and Jeff Carter (of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds). We have done a good job shutting down guys like that all year so it's not like it's 'Oh my God, Sidney Crosby is coming in and what are we going to do?' "

Rimouski 8 London 5

Pouliot goes 2-2-4, Schremp goes 2-0-2.

I haven't been this excited to watch a game since September. 2 Oiler First Rounders and one of the best matchups you could possibly get. What a way to start off the tournament!

Well, the two Oiler first rounders certainly didn't disapoint me.

Pouliot has shown some great offensive instinct and has been solid defensively. His goal was nothing short of a great goal on a perfect shot.

Schremp has arguably been London's best player. He had a decent first period, and has only gotten better since. By my count he's up around 10 shots, has been all over the ice and is generating chances. With his shot it's only a matter of time until he gets a goal.

Torres - Pouliot - Schremp... in the not so distant future :D

Great game! I was worried I was wrong in picking London to win it all after the first, but in the end they showed who's the better team.

Well that's what we expected. How fun was that to start the tourny? Terrific hockey played by both teams, with their respective stars chipping in on both end of the ice. Perry played well defensively for the Knights, so did Crosby on a couple plays for the 'Nic. Dejardins kept Romouski in this game. He deserves a lot of credit, because London had plenty of chances to blow this game open. I sure want these two to meet again.
