So the Hockey dad's road trip continues in the Music City. Another test against a quality team that has been playing well since the New Year.http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/story/2008/02/21/canucks-predators-preview.html

Bieksa is back! (http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=230210&hubname=nhl)
I expect this to stike up the gang with Kevin back, so I expect to see a very physical start throwing everything and the kitchen sink at the Preads net.

I don't like the number of goals the Preds have been surrendering lately, which begs the question...have the Preds youth on D and in their goaltending hit the proverbial wall?
I'm going to go with the Canucks in this one, 4-1. Preds come out hard early, Luongo holds the fort and the Canucks take it over in the third.

Oops, just started a thread on this. Mods please delete it.
Should fire em up as you said. Look for a big win. 3-0 Nucks. Lou is due for a doughnut (Dave's been hogging them all lately).

Well even though they surrendered a point they desparately needed to keep to themselves, when you're goalie makes over fifty saves and you win without the Sedins figuring in the scoring, it's hard to find something to complain as long as the winning streak stayed in tack.
Luongo was huge, that's all you can really say. He calmed the storm in the first for the team to take the lead, and really all three periods. It would have been incredible for him to notch a shutout with over fifty saves, but he's the only reason this team was even close.
The team is playing tougher and you can't argue with the results, but penalties like Bieksa's and Henrik's weren't only taken at really bad times, but they weren't penalties this team needed to take. Play hard guys, but take a number in a close game.
I'd like to send a big thank you to Mason Raymond for scoring in the shoot out, go figure I've been saying give the guy a shot all year in the skills competition and on his first one he wins the game for the team.
I like Shannon continuing to push the envelope in the shootout, he's only 1/3 but every save against him has been a tough one, so you'd have to think Raymond, Shannon, and Linden could leave us with an effective top three in front of Luongo in the shootout from here on out.

I saw an interesting bit in the intermission on SN last night about Shirikov...apparently if there wasn't this big problem with the transfer agreement with Russia right now, this guy would have been a first round pick. It would be nice if they convince him to come over for next season, but then again, it would be nice if they could get Chubarov and Koltsov back over here as well.
Oh, and I'd bet my shiniest twoonie that the Sedins are sick right now. They were BAAAAD last night.
