Wow, he took a serious paycut to stay in Calgary. Did he get some very bad advice from his agent, maybe?

You'd have to believe that if Dion went to RFA status, there would have been a number of teams willing to put offer sheets in front of him at 8-10 mil per season.

Calgary is really putting a lot of money to top players at every position. Iginla, Phaneuf, and Kiprussoff all make big bucks with Langkow soon to follow.

Seems like the Canucks will not be the only one line team in the Northwest Division.
