Who is it?
My first thought was Martin Brodeur.
I think it's Steve Yzerman, Detroit Red Wings - 2002.
Brendan Shannahan was also on both of those teams.

You are both right. Shanahan and Yzerman were both on that team.
There is one more that I can think of. I will wait to see if anyone can get it.
Hm..
Only two possible years are '98 and '02 (no other year were NHL'ers allowed to play)
I don't see any Wings on the Czech's in '98, nor any other Wings on the SLC team.
Kind of weird the Wigns won the cup both years the NHL participated in the olympics.
I'm old enough. Ken Morrow. He was part of the Miricle on Ice US Olympic Gold Medal team then he helped the Islanders win the first of 4 in a row in 1980.

What about Jiri Fischer? If I am wrong my bad, but he has played for the Wings and the Czech's, I just haven't looked up the 98 rosters.
He was drafted in 98 by the Wings but didn't play for the wings until the 99/00 and not in the playoffs untill 00/01. He won the cup with the wings in 2002. He was not on the 98 Czech team that won gold. There were two Jiri's on that team, Jiri Dopita and Jiri Slegr.

Thanks Amo, like I said I didn't check (Czech) the rosters before I posted and I couldn't keep my Jiri's straight.

Martin HavlatA lot has to go right for Mr Havlat to be an answer to this trivia question. First a CBA must be signed. 2nd, it must be signed in time to allow NHLers to play. 3rd, the Czech team must make it to the final Feb 26th, 2006 in Turin and win and finally 4th, the Sens will have to win the Stanley Cup in June 2006.
How dare you cheer against Canada!! :stir: :razz2:

hmmmm....Sundin?
hmmmm....Sundin?A lot more has to fall in line for Mats to win both in the same year. Sadly, I like Havlats chances better.

I highly doubt we'll see this scatlover raising the cup.

Actually the first that I recall is Ken Morrow with the 1980 US Olympic Team and then he signed and played for the New York Islander dynasty of the early 80's.
