Roberto Luongo is scheduled to miss the All Star game and the Canucks first game back after the break after the birth of his expected child.

What do you guys think about this? When it comes to a child being born, even for athletes there is a right to choose family first.
Instead of talking about how Luongo should or shouldn't play on the game based on the condition that he has a child being born, why don't we have a more practical discussion about how Luongo will be perceived after having made this choice.
Do you think missing a publicity stunt like the All Star game will hurt him in his bid for the Hart or Vezina this season whether or not that should factor in the decision?
Do you think Luongo will have some rust to shake off after the long rest costing this team valueable points in the race for the Northwest Division?
