An early evening game,5:00 PM Pacific time start agaisnt a team that has been winning as of late without Joe Sakic and Ryan Smythe. Coming off a shoot out win in the desert last night the Canucks have a chance to go into the Christmas break solidly in first in the Northwest( there I have just cursed it!:o )

This one was rough to watch. I thought they had a territorial advantage in the first, but they couldn't convert.

This team looked plain tired after playing last in a shootout and flying right into Colorado.

I think it was stupid of the NHL to place a possible battle for first place right after one team just played the night before. Well the holidays will be over by the next game, so lets just hope Lui and the gang can treat to us to another post holiday dominance after boxing day.

The Vancouver Sun said that they ran out of gas. 6-4-2 in thier past 12, 7 games in 11 nights. Fact is the where in the game and could not finish.

When the Sedins get tired, their point production dries up. They don't work the puck to the front of the net, and when they don't do that they don't score.

This team relied on the shot from the point all night, and when you rely on that and the tip ins go wide, you're not going to score.

This team needs a first shot scorer. They haven't had that since Naslund in '03.
