I like the Coyotes of late. Landing Ilya was one of the best things that club's done in recent years. They're playing some solid hockey of late and I suspect two things. One, they wont be an easy 2 points and Two, they might be a bit burned out after having a 5-1 road trip. Sometimes that first game back can really be tough on the home team...

The Twins will have Jovo spinning.

I shall be watching in the family room as I wrap presents. The Desert Dogs are hovering around .500 and are getting reliable goal tending from Ilya B. ( I won't try to spell it) but I sense a Canucks win. I wonder how many fans will show up dressed as empty seats tonight?

Another Saturday night shoot out, fortunately this outcome was better than the past two. They needed to win with the Wild going down to Detroit tonight.

Nice to see the Snazzy line scratch out three points. Excellent performance by Lui. Too bad he didn't snatch that puck just a little tighter for another shut out. Oh well maybe he can please me with a shutdown tomorrow night in my town.

Anyone else catch Strachan in the 2nd intermission of the Leafs' game? He claimed the Canucks have been scouring the league for a 2nd line centre and that apparently Nashville is the most likely partner, given that they have a glut of centres and need to 'shake up their lineup' with a trade. He threw out Arnott and Bonk as possibles.

I'm sure you guys remember hearing me make a big stink about Jason Arnott as a guy this team should pick up.

I think if you see a deal around deadline time, you'll see Bieksa going the other way. If Nashville wants to get a deal done quickly, you'll probably see Salo and Schnieder go to Nashville since they are another team that would really like to have that top goaltending prospect in their system.
