Hi guys.
From what I hear Bobby lou is back....I had a feeling he'd do everything he could to face Marty. It's understandable.
Marty has been a staggering 11-1-1 of late! Outstanding record! The Devils are falling into place under coach Sutter. This team is going to get it done this year.
The Canucks haven't been so hot lately. Looks like their luck has caught up with them a bit. They're playing soso which really is pretty good considering who's gone down with issues.
Should be a lot of fun to watch these two masters of the goal collide! Not to mention the coaching....;)

Hopefully the travel nightmares both these teams are coming off of will translate into enough mistakes to offer up some decent scoring chances. Otherwise, this night is for the fans of defense. I'll say 2-1 Vancouver, and they finally get off the snide in the stupid-out.
What would be really fun to watch is if both coaches told their teams "OK boys, we've got the premier goalie matchup in the league tonight. To hell with playing the trap. Let's let Brodeur and Luongo put on a show." A night where both teams get 45 shots and the game ends 2-1 would be a nice holiday treat.

I have a feeling the Devils are taking this one. Brodeur has been as well as he can be lately, and Luongo is coming off an injury. Maybe that will push his play to the top against the premeire netminder in the league, but somehow I see a crap goal going in one team's net that decides the game.
On the bright side, the Devils don't really have any scoring threats that match the Snazzy line. The less they can throw at Luongo, the better off the Canucks are.

Don't take Parise lightly.

Don't take Parise lightly.
I didn't realize Parise makes an entire line all by himself. That's quite the trick.

Ya it's the same trick Vancouver uses with Luongo.

I don't know as if I'd say the Devils don't have any scoring threats. They have a couple different line combinations that have shown very good chemistry this season. Parise/Elias/Gionta, Parise/Zajac/Langenbrunner have both been very good at times. Funny how Parise happens to be a part of both of those lines.:D
Anyway, it should be a good game. Unfortunately I have to work until midnight, so I'll have to catch the game on DVR.

You know Parise is a forward and Luongo is a goalie right?
Anyways its nice to see Naslund stick it to Gordo with two goals and Luongo to stick it to the East with a shut out while the East's best guy gives up five.
This goes to show you how faceoffs make a difference in the game.

Go figure, I say the Devils have scoring threats and they get shutout.

Boy that was a fun one. Sure goes to show why these eastern teams don't much like coming out here to play. Well fair is fair and they've all gotten away with murder schedule wise for more than a while now.
Anywho...
I liked the Asham Brown fight. Good tilt. Both landing many solid shots. I've always liked Asham. I also really liked Cameron. He's got spice.
Jersey's a great team, just got em at the right moment is all. Luo was great when he needed to be, no question. I just don't want to leave the impression that the DEvils blow or something when that's clearly not the case.
Glad to see luo back, bottom line. :thumb:

Nice win, of course all we'll hear is that the Canucks can't win without Luongo:shrug:

What's Curtis Sanford like 4-2-1?
Not bad when your backup starts 7 games and you've got nine points out of him.
