The Canucks host the Blackhawks tonight at GM Place. Will the youngsters succeed over Luongo, I don't think so.

The Hawks are another team who I think the Snazzy line should be able to tear up the scoresheet against. They're aren't too physical or too quick.

Funny poll...

Geez Lossy, must be a fun time in your house eh bud! You get to cheer when both teams score.

I watched that crazy dude Koci fight last night during the Oilers game. That dude's a monster. I think he would simply terminate Cowan :eyebug:

This Hawks team is awesome. I have a soft spot for them, especially Towes. That kid's awesome, simply friggen awesome and good on the Hawks for getting him. He's also from my old neighborhood. ;)

I say the Canucks are going to have their hands full and Luo's gonna need to be at his best. The future Cup, Conne Smythe, Vezina and Heart winner VS. The hottest kids lineup in the game. Wow. Should be excellent, however today the Bombers come first. ;)

Wearing my Riders shirt, same one I wore in 1989!;)

These Hawks aren't the sad sacks of the last few years, but I expect the Canucks to take this one

Actually I'm too Canuck now because of you assholes to do that, so I only get to score when one team scores. The rest of my family spent more time in Chicago than I did, so they're die hard Hawkers. So if we lose tonight, I'm going to hear about it for a month until the Nucks put the Hawks in their place again.

I can't tell you how sick and tired I am of hearing the phrase "the kids" around here. Just because Patrick Kane is younger than me doesn't me that he's a stupid child!

No one has called Kane a stupid child, but I'm just getting irritated hearing "the kids" all the time. It's kind of like hearing Syd the Kid over and over again.

Good game tonight from Luongo, that save of Toews on the powerplay late in the third is what he is on this team to do. You can't account for a save like that with statistics.

******* WHISTLE RULE!!!!!!! THIS **** HAPPENS EVERY OTHER NIGHT!!!!

I for one cannot stand refs blowing the play dead whenever the Canucks get near the crease. That call could very well have cost this team a point. If the puck is ever somewhere in Luongo's pads and squeaks out for a goal, I'm going to WALK my ass over to Toronto and scream at the nearest person with a copy of the rule book in the "war room".

My wife commented that I had a close to a perfect day yesterday as I got to watch the Riders win and then a Canucks win :boogie:

Good game for the good guys. Nice to see a `real' shutout for Luongo, he deserved it. Scary moment for Pyatt, but was happy to see him come back later.

Don't know what it is about the powerplay drying up when Salo is in the lineup. Granted, that was a great play he made to set up Morrison on the first chance, but 1-9? Maybe it was just that the Hawks have the league's best PK on the road and they were respecting their 10 shorties, but keep an eye on that. They were 11th overall on the PP going into that game. Let's see where it's at come the Xmas break. Assuming of course that Salo makes it that long without getting hurt again.

Boy, do I like the way Kesler is playing. You notice him every night for something. He could end being for Vancouver what Draper has been for Detroit.

Really liked their puck movement, too. Confident, quick and tape to tape right now. That's a huge step for this team. It was interesting to watch how often they were moving the puck back against the flow, trying to find holes in the Hawks' defense.

And another strong game for Edler. I was a little disappointed in how quiet Ohlund was. I hope the Koivu incident didn't neuter him in any way. He's much better when he plays with a mean streak.

It's time for Linden to go. He's a step behind the play. I thought the Morrison line was much more effective with Burrows. Maybe try Cowan there for a while?

And finally, it's too bad Weaver has to sit. It's a good problem to have, but I like the way he plays.

Oh, and BTW...welcome to the land of sanity Nelson...

Gordo I don't think the Hawks PK was that great. Their best killers and shorty scorer Patrick Sharp was out of the lineup along with Rene Bourque who's not to shabby either.
