The Blues are a team has given the Canucks problems in the past few years, in 2005/06 although the were the West doormats the Blues took all 8 points from the Canucks and that spilt over into last year as well. Luongo gets the start but has been shakey sometimes coming off a rest, however Naslund is playing like it is 2003 and has adjusted to playing and producing with the twins, and the rest of the team has been playing Coach V's system. With no plans for the evening and a 5:30 start here in BC perhaps I get to see the full game for once.

FF2 orders a Naslund sweater after he hits off Tabasco's pipe and the Swede sending him the sweater on Ebay has a brain fart and starts thinking about Forsberg, so he gets that one with no refund.
I think the Canucks take this one. We have Sanford this time, so he can't beat us.

Note to RB and/or Lossy you guys make the GDT threads and polls, I think my starting one jinxed the Canucks. :o

yeah rough game. When this team has that many power plays, I expect more goals out of this team.
The early penalties killed them. That's really all that needs to be said. When this team gets off to a slow start, they make sure they make a three goal hole to climb out of.

Sorry I am a little late around here, my windows I ordered in September FINALLY arrived and I've been working on installing them pronto so I get them in before the real cold arrives...anywho..
Yes, KB, you suck at polls. :eyebug: Wait, that doesn't sound right... :conspire: :D No jokes, I really laughed at your poll...wait....that too doesn't sound right....okay, really, I loved your poll...awe forget it.:( This is never going to come out right....:slant:
The game, I think they're going to lose 3-1. Okay, really. I watched this game. I guess the memo went out and the NHL is "clamping" down on Bettman's secret motive to destroy the game. I sometimes wonder if he was actually created by the big four to keep the NHL down cause somethings fishy with this situation. :conspire:
The game, well....what can you say. No real momentum can be built with that many calls. I am sorry but seriously, the flow gets sucked right out of the arena. Power plays do not make for more exciting hockey....you know what does make for exciting hockey? PLAYING HOCKEY! I mean honestly, some of the calls in last nights game were simply unwarranted. They were none penalties! They sucked the beauty right out of the game call after bullshit call after horseshit call. (why is bullshit in the spell check and horseshit isn't  )
The third period was pretty good when the guys were allowed to play. When flow was created by NOT BLOWING THE WHISTLE EVERY THIRTY FIVE SECONDS CAUSE A GUY FELL OVER ON THE OBVIOUSLY TERRIBLE ICE. Did anyone else notice how many guys were losing edges and pucks that were bouncing like basketballs? Garbage. That's the sort of ice quality that ends peoples seasons with torn knees.
Anyway, we're gonna lose games. We're gonna see games filled with no puck luck and a parade of BS calls. It happens, it's no fun when it does and last night was one of them....full moons boys, never trust the days leading up to them and following them. You may not believe in that mumbojumbo but just ask your local coroner what they think of them....;)
GO BOMBERS!

In comparison to the penalty filled St. Louis game, our 1-0 shootout loss against Edmonton was one of the most exciting games of the year, but that game wouldn't work for the "new" NHL because there was 12 minutes of continuous play time, so there were no powerplays, how boring.
St. Louis just seems to be one of those teams we can't matchup well against, and it's the same old story every year.
