Which one would rather have on offense? The playmaker that can turn anyone on the team into a weapon with passes that leave a player one on one with the goalie or give him a wide open net to shoot at, or the goal scorer that doesn't need any help because he can do it all by himself with a properly placed wrist or slap shot. The choice is yours.

a playmaker who can makes the players around him better. He raises up the entire team instead of just getting the puck in the net.

In the past I have favoured the playmaker for the whole "making those around him better" thing, but after a few years of the Antro-Mats-Poni show I want a goalscorer. It would be nice if one of them other than Mats could put the puck in the net consistantly. Give me Pavel Bure instead of Adam Oates.

As a Sens fan this debate will drag on all year. With Heatly and Spezza's contract ending the question is if you can't sign both who do you keep? My money is all on Spezza. Give me a guy who can make the plays happen, generate offence, make the perfect cross ice pass and put the puck in the net when needed anytime.

Canucks need a proven scorer to complete the Sedin line; hopefully someone with a last name starting with an "A" so I can talk about the ASS line. :D
