Yet another example of the accuracy of Wildboy's prediction and keen insight and analysis. Too bad you couldn't edit the title of the thread eh?
Actually according to Don Banks at CNNSI dropping down out of the top 3 or 5 or whatever takes the pressure to perform off Quinn, some of the most recent top quarterback perfomers in the NFL have been later 1st round picks, Rothelisberger at # 11 comes to mind.
One question I have is why do teams need the full 15 minutes to make the pick, swear to god most of the time is just to build anticipation in the TV audience and let the announcers prognosticate. Also who does Mel Kiper's hair? There is a lot of black shellack in that do.

The Bears still do sign their new starting QB though. The guy they sign to be their new starting QB is Chris Leak:

Chris Leak went undrafted for a reason. He's too short, immobile, and can't make all the throws at the next level. He'll be a great backup, but starter he ain't.

Grossman is also short(NFL standards) and immobile. Even his supporters would admit that. I wont even get started on his other flaws.

Grossman carried the Bears to the promised land; he'll be starting this season. Leak can carry Grossman's shoes for him.

Grossman can move around well enough for a QB. Obviously not as good since his injuries, but he's not a statue in the pocket. He does have other flaws in the mental aspect of the game, but he's a young QB and is still figuring that part of his game out. The only reason his mistakes get magnified is because the Bears are a great team, and the media and fans dont' have the same tolerance as fans on rebuilding teams. What he's going through though is no different from what a guy like Cutler in Denver will go through, or Russell and Quinn will go through next year.
