Hmmm The Nucks beating Dallas was my only sure pick in the West.
Also taking the fan hat off what makes NYR better then Atlanta? I really want them to win but its tough pick IMO

All the picks are just hunches, I didn't think too hard about them.
I don't think NYR is so much better than Atlanta... but frankly I don't think Atlanta is all that. They barely edged Tampa for the division. If they played in the Atlantic or the Northwest, then it's not even clear to me they make the playoffs.
I also think the Rangers are playing better right now than Atlanta. They've been in survival mode for about the last 6 weeks and have won a lot of pressure games. They're clicking on all cyclinders at the right time.
Either way it should be a good one.

Well this Leas fans thinks Lou did what was best for HIS team. The Leafs blew their own chance when they got beat by the Isles with a week to go in the season. If they had beat them that night the Isles were done.
I hope Marty pitches 3 shutouts this series.

San Jose in 6 - Nabby was awesome in OT
Anaheim in 5 - Just wait for Nieds, and Pronger to get going.
Vancouver in 5 - Turco looked better than last year. If I were to base my picks off of last night I would say Van in 6 or 7, but originally I had them at 5.
Calgary in 6 - Iginla is the best all-round player in the game right now. He finally has a supporting cast around him, and Kipper will out play Dom.
Ottawa in 5 - Crosby and co will have one blow out game. other than that look for more of what you saw lastnight. Total domination!
Buffalo in 5 - Smyth is one of the luckiest playoff SOB's I have seen. Look for him to win one for the Isles before returning to his heart which he left in Edmonton. :rolleyes: Still I'm calling a hattrick with the 3rd goal going in off his ass or leg from a point shot with less than 2 minutes to go in regulation.
NY Rangers in 6 - Jagr and co will light up Lehtonen and Lundy will steal the show.
New Jersey in 5 - Hmm... Brodeur V. Holmqvist? Gee I dunno. Even if Tampa's hot offense manages to beat Marty 3 times a game I don't think it will be enough.

I have betted against the Sens in every series so far these playoffs, and obviously the Sens have won each of those series'. I'm hoping for a Sens win this time around so my prediction is a little bit of reverse psychology, in hopes of the pattern continuing and the Sens bringing Lord Stanley back home in Canada where it belongs.
