The Flames were on some preseason Cup favourite lists. Now with 10 games left they are holding on to the 8th spot in the west, and the Colorado Avalanche are charging hard on their tails. Given the well documented road woes and the fact they play gmaes agaisnt contenders including the surging Minnesota Wild, will the flames make or miss the playoffs?
If you ask my dad, who follows the Avs from Fort Collins, Colorado, your Flames will make it. Did Stuart and Primeau find more permanent living arrangements? How are they doing?
Ference is feisty. He floated an ill-advised pass up the middle the other night against the Rangers, and that cost us a goal. Otherwise, he's doing okay. He's so small, though.

Point of clarification, they most definitely are not MY Flames;)

The Flames schedule to finish the season is home to the Red Wings and Predators. A road trip to the Blackhawks, Wild, the Wild again, and the Canucks. Home for the Avalanche, away for the Sharks, home for the Oilers and finish the season in Colorado versus the Avalanche.
The Avs go on the road for two Oilers games and one versus the Canucks, and then are home versus the Canucks. Then it's away for the Coyotes, home for the Wild, away for the Flames and Canucks, and finally home for the Predators and Flames.
It could come down to the final game of the season, a head to head matchup to determine the eighth seed. With the Flames sucking so bad on the road and the Avs being so streaky this season, it's too hard to tell who will make the playoffs. Neither team has an easy schedule to finish the season and in fact play each other twice, one away and one home.
I'll say the Flames lose the eighth seed in the last week of the season and miss the playoffs.

The Av's keep making it interesting. If MacT can appeal to the Oilers pride it might be a game on Saturday.
Letsa see if they can come back and beat the wings another thing to watch is lets see if they can keep there home record going

Hey if the dirty Oil can do it so can the Flames. Wooo baby I'm on FIRE! :burning:

Well they made the playoffs. Now the question that must be asked is, will Calgary get passed the first round?
Well they made the playoffs. Now the question that must be asked is, will Calgary get passed the first round?I'm 99.9% sure the Flames won't beat the Red Wings in this series but I'll wait for the official word from Gary "4 OTs is too much, it's shootouts in the playoffs next year" Bettman.
