While they are a league leading 28-6-2 at home, the Flames are a totally different team away from the Saddledome, going 9-18-8 on the road.

Holy jeebers, if the Flames could even go .500 on the road, they'd be way ahead of the rest of the Northwest division teams. Only the Kings have a worse road record and the Panthers have one point more on the road.

Unless the Flames somehow manage to win some games on the road, they'll be gone in the first round of the playoffs. If they stay in 8th place, they'll face the Red Wings or Preds, so I'm expecting an early exit for the Flames anyways.

I've seen some of the Flames road games this season because somehow I'm not blackouted for Sportsnet West games. Kippersoft turns into a average goalie, Iginla doesn't earn his money and Phaneuf goes around hitting guys and getting out of position. The team looks like a beer league team with the Flames jerseys on. Just pathetic.

I heard this last night, so I am not sure of the accuracy of it, but the last team the Flames beat on the road with a record of over .500 was the Canucks back in early December.

CGY had better figure out their road problem fast or they will be golfing in a month.
