I think that you have a few years on MD, there grill boy. But, it definatley is Birthday season around here. I've had to do a lot of shopping for 'special' presents... so, I don't mind any. =]

Night Terrors Symptoms: Sudden awakening from sleep, persistent fear of Celibacy that occurs at night, screaming, sweating, confusion, rapid heart rate, inability to explain what happened, usually no recall of events or conversations, may have a vague sense of frightening propositions given. Many people see porn stars, co-workers, animals or people they've just met in the room, are unable to fully awake, difficult to comfort, with no memory of the event on awakening the next day.


Sounds familiar... you might want to cut back on the drink a little too Max. =]

Night terrors have been shown to appear in stage 4 of sleep. This is what separates them from nightmares which can occur anytime in sleep. It is possible to make a night terror occur in some people, simply by touching or awakening them during stage 4 of sleep. Why night terrors occur is still a mystery. The mind is supposed to be practically void during the deeper stages of sleep. The subject will awake gasping, moaning, crying but more often screaming. Breathing rapidly they will sit up in bed with a wide eyed terror filled stare. This panic will often last anywhere from five to twenty minutes. I find the most amazing aspect of night terrors is that it generates a heart rate of 160 to 170 beats per minute. This is much faster than the normal heart rate that can be attained under most stressful circumstances.

Too bad the weather doesn't want to cooperate today. Yesterday it was beautiful, sunny, with temperatures in the mid-70's, now today it's cloudy, windy, with temperatures in the mid-50's.:curse:

I was planning on going down by the river with my friends later tonight, and now it's miserable outside. Maybe it's just as well, the last time we were down there I fell into the camp fire.:laughing:
