Senators look to bottle Lightning
Sports Ticker
OTTAWA (Ticker) -- After enduring a four-game losing streak, the Tampa Bay Lightning go for their second straight win against Ottawa on Thursday.
Martin St. Louis scored two goals and Vincent Lecavalier and defenseman Filip Kuba both tallied and added two assists as the Lightning snapped a four-game slide with a 5-4 win over Washington on Tuesday.
Marc Denis made 20 saves for Tampa Bay, which went 3-for-5 on the power play.
The Senators, who are coming off a 7-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, will have defenseman Wade Redden back in the lineup tonight. He has missed the last nine games with a chest injury. Ottawa has won just six of 17 games without him in the lineup.
Ray Emery had 15 saves in two periods for Ottawa, which came away empty on all seven of its man-advantage opportunities.
The Senators are 6-8-0 at home, but have won 18 of their last 26 matchups here with the Lightning.
These two teams have split their first two encounters this season.
