View Full Version : whoot!
Out of nearly 150,000 TSN fantasy hockey teams... hockey station has now climbed into the top 250!
Actually I looked in the cash prize tables, and they have me ranked there at 209.
Eligible for a $20 payout if the season ended now. :pimp:
$30 if I crack the top 200.

Good Stuff Mel.
Pretty impressive to be 209 out of 150,000.
I noticed there are only two trades left, how many did you start with?

You start off unlimited for 7 days, and then you are given 2 per week. But you have the option to buy as many as you want.
In reality you have to purchase trades if you really want to compete for the prize money. You cannot sustain your point totals on only 2 trades/week.
I bought some. I'll prolly break even if I win 20 or 30 bucks.
I have to think the guys near the top must have spent a considerable amount on trades, which I don't quite get. Unless you finish in the top 10 (very unlikely) the most you can win is $50.
I'm playing the free (to join) version, so the season is split into 2 halves... i.e. this season is almost over, so hopefully I can keep myself ranked high enough to win something.
You might have noticed from the graphic that I'm not even first in my division. That guy is near the top 100 - Every time I think I'm gonna catch him I don't... he's always manging to stay 4-500 points above me. But the rest of my league isn't even close.
Only 2 idiots dumb enough to spend money this league

I used to play in a Pool where it was $2 per bench trade and originally $10 then lowered to $5 per player purchase. The League prizes were $500, 200, 100, 50, free entry. I won $200 one year in my league but it cost me about $400 to win it. Totally not worth it.
I prefer the 20 free trades and no more, check box pools. Last year our old buddy yoata was in the same one and won $500 the first month for being 1st overall for the month. I told him by the end of the year I would beat him. I ended up winning $500 for the last month, and on the last day of the season I finally passed him to finish one spot ahead. Too bad he was gone I would have loved to rub it in.
