Do you prefer real or fake?

I'm talkin' Christmas trees here, people!

Do you put up a fake or real Christmas tree?

If it's a real one do you make an effort to buy from a lot that is for a good cause (eg: Rotary Club, K of C) or head for the woods and chop one down (eg: Griswalds)?

Do you have any Christmas tree traditions regarding ornaments?

It's the festive season, let's hear some festive stories!

We usually do real, but in the house we moved into a few years ago, it has no room for a real tree. So we have a fake one and it's really trippy. The tree is made up of something I can't think of at the moment but when you turn the light on at the bottom and it spins, makes the tree all different colors. ;)

We have two artificial trees. A small 3 foot high one, that sits on a coffee table from when my wife was living on her own in an apartment, and a big 7 footer we bought the first Christmas we were married and were living in a real house. We have had artificial trees for years in my family. My mother and brother both have allergy problems and the real tree used to aggrivate thier sinuses and such.

We dont really do x-mas trees anymore. Growing up we had a fake one.. but now we just put up these small ones. We dont really celberate I guess... we exchange presents and what not... maybe make a turkey or something.
