(there's a clearer version on ESPN)
To me it's amusing. I don't follow basketball much.
Carmelo Anthony dropped a guy with a cheap shot and then literally ran to the other end of the court to get away.
Gotta love basketbrawls.
The NBA handed out some heavy suspensions (especially for a star of Anthony's caliber) and fined each team 1/2 mill!
ouch. :slant:

Melo should've gotten more games. That was one of the most gutless and cowardly things I've seen out of an NBA player. The refs breakup a fight and the star pushes a ref out of the way to sneak someone in the face after everything is calming down and then runs away like a little biatch. That was Martin Havlat-esque, but without the kick.

I agree, but the last big suspension was reduced to 15, and I think that last one was worse then this. This one has no chance at getting reduced.
At least the NBA treats all of their players the same. Had this been the NHL, and AO, he might have got 2 games. And thats a maybe.
That was 15 games?
The hell?
I don't know how that should be more than 2 games... christ.
Secondly...
Respect? F*** that. Foot to the throat.
this is the clear video

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Iverson just get dealt to Denver?
If so does that not create a huge one-two scoring punch with him and Melo? As in the top 2 scorers in the NBA?
scary. That's like Jagr getting traded to Pittsbugh and teaming up with the kid.

I am not an NBA fan, so can somebody answer this, how does Isiah Thomas keep his job, or keep getting jobs in the NBA or broadcasting?

Yeah, now the only question is, what happens first? Iverson shanks Melo, or Melo sneaks AI?
I love Iverson but I'm glad this trade got done, I wanna see AI win a title before his career is over and that just flat out was not happening in Philly. Not that I think it will happen in Denver either though. One ball isn't enough for two players to btoh average over 30 points a game.

Is it just me or is there a sightly delicious irony in the fact that the player who threw the sucker punch plays in Denver? :pimp:
