The Blue Jackets have named Gerard Gallants replacement as coach and its former Flyers coach Ken Hitchcock. The Blue Jackets and Flyers just happen to meet up on Friday.Personally I don't think Hitch is a good fit in Columbus imo!
Cheers

I have to agree. THere are players on the Jackets who may not respond to Hitch's methods (Federov, Zherdev?)I think Doug Maclean (sic) is on thin ice as most of his expansion cousins are contenders or solid team's this year and the Jackets are bringing up the rear in the West. Should be interesting to see the results of that first game against the floundering Flyers.

Game one down and the Hitch lost to guess who?
Sucks to lose but game 1 against your old team has got to hurt a lot more then anyone else would've been

Columbus outshot Philly 40-25 so it looks like they responded well but just didn't get the victory.

Good to see Hitchcock bounce back from being fired from the screwed up Flyers.
The BJs were a rudderless team adrift in a sea of futility. Hitchcock is one of the best coachs for getting them straightened out.
This will also giving me an excuse for saying Hitchcock and BJs without getting in trouble. :D
