ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2005/columns/story?columnist=stein_marc&id=2054677) is reporting Nash will be named MVP later today :thumb: No one more deserving.

Congratulations! :D

We as Canadians should be as proud for this as we were when Eric Gagn? won the Cy Young award.

As you said, he has been the most deserving, because he is more valuable to his team than Shaq is to the Heat.

Doesn't take long for the BS to start printing: Dand Le Batard of the Miami Herald is claiming Nash winning the MVP was based on race. I would post a link to his article but it requires you to register to the Miami Herald.

Here's a link to an article about it:Nash wins, no matter what color (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=jones/050509&POLL204=400000000020000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000). It's pretty good even if the author does like Shaq better.

When I heard a "Miami Herald columnist" wrote an article about race being an issue, I just knew it would be LeBatard. He's been spewing crap like this and why Shaq is the greatest of all time all season on ESPN: The Sports Reporters. It's absurd to suggest that, but he's simply a homer. He's also Todd Wright's "fat headed college roommate."

I don't follow basketball whatsoever but this Nash guy has really caught my eye. He is a true team player, unlike a lot of sports players these days. Calling up his teammates up to the podium with him was a pretty radical thing to do. He is also quite the humanitarian about several issues from poverty to war. He is a good role model for young kids who play basketball.

This ones for you Stevey boy

Some tv personality compared Nash to Gretzky. One similarity I think is the way Nash keeps his dribble under the basket turning the defenders around and then passing out to somebody. I don't remember any other player doing this. Kinda like when Gretzky made the back of the net his office.
