Sources: Chargers' Merriman suspended for steroids
Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman has been notified he will be suspended for four games for violating the NFL's steroids and related substances policy, league and team sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Merriman's positive test was "definitely for steroids … not one of those supplement deals" said a source with knowledge of Merriman's suspension.

Merriman, 22, was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year last season and started in the Pro Bowl after recording 54 tackles and 10 sacks. He also finished with five passes defended and two forced fumbles. Through six games this season, Merriman was second on the Chargers with 5½ sacks. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2635475

LameDainian Tomlinsuc

Can you please stop? This is getting as bad as a little kid with the horrible nicknames. Don't be mad just because the Chargers have the best RB to ever play in your division.

This might explain why Merriman is so quick to get to the quarterback.4 games is not enough for anyone who gets caught doing steroids, the whole season should be the right punishment.

Now I'm so glad my Cowboys didn't draft him and picked Demarcus Ware instead. All the spouting off Merriman was doing last season about the Cowboys not drafting him, well all I have to say is Merrimans not worthy of wearing a Cowboys uniform, rot in SD Shawne and keep your mouth shut!

Cheers

Meh...he'll come back and still be the best pass rusher and hardest hitter in football. Steroids or no steroids.

Agreed the petty trash talking name calling is wearing thin. Peter King in the Monday Morning Quaterback colum at CNNSI has some intresting numbers on Tomlinson, actually they are about Tiki Barber but it does illustrate that JR's sandboxisms aside Tomlinson has been a pretty effective football player over the past few seasons:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/peter_king/10/22/tiki.barber/index.html
It is on the second page of the colum

Another talking face slurping on him. Not surprised.

How did he rush yesterday as the Chargers found another way to choke one up?

Now they find themselves below the Broncos in the standings again -- exactly where they belong!

First off your lead comment was gross and ignorant. Secondly after you have at least 20 years of credibility built up as a respected beat writer and columnist covering a the NFL or any sports league I may take your analysis seriously, until then you are just somebody offering uniformed opinions of an internet forum. Czar of nothing!
