It's been a pretty good week for Chopper.

He wins the Hot Oil's Hot-Off contest (http://hot-oil.blogspot.com/2006/10/your-2006-hot-off-champion-mr-ethan.html) on Wednesday, the team gets a BoA win on Thursday and now signs a four year deal on Friday.

Mr. Blood and Guts, or Chopper as he's called by his teammates, will hit the ice for tonight's rematch against the Calgary Flames with a four-year contract extension worth $8 million in his pocket - money well-earned for the hard-nosed left winger.
The new deal doubles Moreau's pay of $1 million for this season, keeps him off the unrestricted free agent market July 1, when he would have had a lineup of general managers 10 deep seeking his services, and will see him in Oilers silks through the 2010-11 season.

I am soooooo happy to see him sign long term with the Oil. He is right up there with Smytty as one of my fave Oilers.
