A 3-1 victory. They played a good road game. Luongo was sharp and Hasek looked 41. I was impressed with the penalty kill, keeping the Wings off the score sheet. Only 81 more games to go, so onto Columbus.

Was it me, or did Hockeytown look like a minor league building?

I mean I know the Tigers are in the playoffs, but this was the Season opener for a team that has had a lot of success over the last 10+ years, tonight there were more red seats then I've seen in Detroit my entire life.

See you there, remember there but for 2 wins against St.Louis, a dysfuntional Canuck line up would have squeezed out the Oilers for the 8th spot last year.

:stir: Well the Oil shouldn't have even made the Playoffs :stir: what with having fewer wins than Vancouver and LA. :stir:

I listened on the radio, but caught the highlights

I'm not sure about naslund with the twins..but we'll see

Anyway, the team played a system..and worked well together
