If you were to predict the Super Bowl winner right now who would it be?

It was between the Bears and Eagles for me. Both teams are dangerous on defense because they can generate pressure with their front four, allowing seven guys to drop back into coverage. On offense I think the Eagles have a better group of players with McNabb at QB and Westbrook at HB, but Westbrook has had injury problems in the past and I'm not sure a Buckhalter/Moats backfield could carry the load if he went down. So I went with Chicago, cause even if Grossman shows he can't keep this current pace up, the team has shown it can be very good with just its running game, and they have depth with Benson and Peterson on the sidelines.

I went with Chicago. Rex is definitely doing alot better as the starting QB then I thought he would. He even looks like one of the better QBs in the league so far which I would have never expected, his numbers are even among the elite so far and he won the NFC offensive player of the month last month. He might keep up, or fall off some, but he still gives the team more of a passing threat then in the past. Either Jones or Benson can do a great job with the running game. Berrian and Clark are both having great years. Their defence looks like it is getting back to last years level. Harris and Urlacher are both playing incredably so far. So I picked the Bears.
I dont know who will even get out of the AFC. I am almost convinced Manning the games best regular season QB will never be able to win the biggest games, even an AFC Championship game perhaps let alone a SB final.
Even guys like Jake Delhomme and Ben Roethlisburger who are for the most part much inferior QBs have been better post season QBs so far in their careers. Cincinnati still struggles with run defence and have too many soft spots. Getting spanked NE yesterday was not a good sign for them, even if it was only one game. Who knows if Palmer is a big playoff performer yet or not, but he seems to not be a big performer against chief rivals(think his games vs Pittsburg, and his game vs NE yesterday)which might suggest he is not. New England has too many offensive pieces missing to go that far, Brady doesnt even really have a reliable WR to throw too right now. So I have no idea who wins the AFC, Denver might if Plummer does not screw it up. Maybe it might be a shocker like Baltimore.
it's kinda silly trying to predict the SB champion 4 weeks into the season.
It's like picking the World Series champion in May. There's a lot of football yet to be played. History shows us every season there are some teams that have poor Septembers, but turn it around to come out as favorites heading into the playoffs. The reverse is also true.
Plus you have the uncertainty of injuries etc. It's too early to know. All you can say right now is which team(s) look strongest through week 4.

Well last year it looked like Pittsburg would not make the playoffs and they went on to win the Super Bowl. Most say them going out to Cincinnati, and everyone saw them going out to Indianpolis.
Indianapolis were talked like the Super Bowl Championship was a foregone conclusion late in the season, and the only question was whether they would "choose" to go undefeated it seemed like, or rest their starters for the final 1 or 2 games. Then San Diego ruins all that and things go downhill from there.
