Just heard on the fan 590 that Terrel Owens took over 30 pills last night in a bid to kill himself. He had to have his stomach pumped.

Police: Terrell Owens tried to commit suicide by overdosing on pain pills

DALLAS (AP) - Police say flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide by overdosing on pain medication Tuesday night.

A Dallas police report says Owens told rescue workers "that he was depressed."

According to the report, a rescue worker noticed that Owens' prescription pain medication was empty. He then saw Owens put two pills in his mouth.

The worker attempted to pry them out with her fingers then was told by Owens that before this incident he'd taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he'd emptied.

The worker then asked Owens if he was attempting to harm himself and Owens said yes.

They are saying he had an adverse reaction to some pain killers, but there are 2 very different ways to read into that....

did he have an adverse mental reaction to the substance that caused him to try and kill himself.

... or did he have an adverse reaction because he ate the whole damn bottle?

There's still holes in this story - like how/why did rescue workers wind up at Owens home for one thing?

I don't think it's a secret that a lot of the Philly fans lost a lot of respect and good thoughts about TO, but no one wanted to see anything like this happen.

I hope TO gets the counselling he needs, and a perspective on what is really important in life.

TO has always been a distraction to every team he's played on and that will never change. I just can't beleive that teams think that he'll change... :o

I feel sorry for teams that deal with the dilemna of this guy. Amazing player but a huge cancer on a team.
