La Presse newspaper and rds are reporting that the Habs are in negotiations with Jason Woolley. When asked about it, Woolley's agent Paul Theofanous said that they had really good sources of information but that he had nothing to report at this time. The Canadiens would be looking to replace Francis Bouillon, who had knee surgery this summer and who is not expected back until November at least...

Wooley is nothing more than a 6th/7th defenseman at this stage in his career
Plus, the Habs need to get bigger..
I think that's all he wants, a 6th/7th defenseman at $500,000 with experience, just until Bouillon comes back. Of course I'd like a top 2-3 defenseman, but we don't have the cap space. That and Komisarek is ready for more icetime and we do have sure values in Markov, Rivet and Souray...
