Kesler still hasn't signed a contract, and training camp is approaching fast

There are rumours he has been asking for a big raise, and the Canucks aren't willing to pay

So, what do you do..

-trade him..and acquire a solid defenseman, or a youthful winger/center?
-keep him, give him a raise..we don't want another Umberger situation
-not sure at this point..so play hardball

Thots?

Keep him. Why give up on the guy already? The Canucks wouldn't be getting much in return anyway. I'd let him sit without pay until it starts hurting, when the bills are pilling up enough to knock some sense into the kid...

Definitely keep him, unless we can get a guy like Evgeni Malkin for him!;)

Depends on what he could fetch in terms of depth on the defense or quality back up goal tender. Since at this point I don't think any gm in their right mind would deal quality the Canucks need for Kesler's potential, they end up will keeping him.
