Interseting note on Poti; him and York were traded for each other, and are now playing together on a different team from either of the ones involved in the original trade. Wonder how many times that has happened?

Poti was given the un-enviable task of basically replacing Brian Leetch as the Rangers defensive star... a situation he couldn't possibly win. He was never embraced in New York. He always got booed. It was almost like Ranger fans took out their anger at the Leetch trade on Tom Poti... he didn't really deserve that treatment, but NY is a tough market - the highs and lows experienced by athletes are extreme here. It can be brutal at times. Just ask A-rod.

Last year Poti really improved his game - and it showed, I have to give credit. And I think most Ranger fans would acknowledge that... but he won't be missed. his departure, even to the Island, is basically a non-factor.

yes but theres a big difference between arod and poti. at least at the end of the year arods numbers are some of the best in the league. (yes he is not clutch really at all. boo's deserving for that) as to poti he is just plain out awful nothing to like about his game next to ozo he was prob the rangers player i most wanted to see end up becoming a fishstick. :thumb:
