The Pens signed Jarko Ruutu, well good bye to a feisty gritty player. He took way too many penalties, but was a valuable and popular 3/4 line guy. Somewhere Comrade Burns is un-happy:laughing:

Sounds like exactly the kind of player Pittsburg needs to go with their flash and dash. Except for the penalty part. Hopefully that was just a symptom from eating too many of those mushrooms you guys have got out there.

Too bad
I liked Ruutu..and he was a decent 3rd/4th line player.
However, he has been overpaid

Years ago a baseball owner said it wasn't the high price of talent it was the high price of mediocrity. When a Jarko Ruutu or a Trevor Letowski, both great guys and decent 3/4 line players, can make $1million+ per season in a salary cap environment something is out of kilter, and just like before it is not the NHLPA and the agents it is the gm's and owners doing this.
