Section A: Who Are You
1. What does your screen name mean?
It means I'm a leaf fan, and I got the name in 2002, hence the '02 part of the name
2. When is your birthday, date, year and horoscope?
February 3, 1988..i believe that is the time of Aquarius..but i never follow that type of stuff
3. What is your occupation?
School, but I also do outside work, like lawn cutting, and this summer will be landscaping and odd jobs around the city

Lived in Canada all my life, but my grandparents all immigrated from the Netherlands back in the European Immigration rush of the 1950s

I'm 17, and I enjoy hockey..particularily the Leafs, and also am known for being a fact man of ballparks

Toronto Maple Leafs...although this season I'm leaning towards the London Knights as they are improvising.
8. Who is your favorite player(s)?
Darcy Tucker, Alexander Mogilny for the Leafs, Robbie Schremp, and Drew Larman of the Knights
9. What is your least favorite team(s)?
Ottawa, New Jersey, and Philadelphia...detroit to a lesser extent
10. What is your favorite hockey moment(s)?
Olympic Gold in 2002, along with Leafs always defeating the Sens in the playoffs

Probably the ACC, but I also wouldn't like checking out all 30.

Its great, although I dont like the division between here and HF.

More members either here or at HF, so we can be united again.

Yeah, particularily playoff pools, i have run a few over time also

1. What does your screen name mean? I won't bore those who have already heard the boring story. :]
2. When is your birthday, date, year and horoscope? September 82.
3. What is your occupation? Uvic for skewl and werc
4. How long have you been posting on fan forums: Started last March. Was reading stuff at SN, and then March 8th came, and saw all the people bashing Bertuzzi so I signed up to defend the man's name.
5. What is your background/nationality? I was born in Richmond. My parents were born in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. All three places happen to be geographically placed in a country called Canada. I'm not a nationalistic person but you can call me a Canadian if you want.
6. Tell us something intersting about yourself... I've been a vegetarian for almost a year now. Probably one of the best decisions of my life. I recommend reading about it if you are concerned about the torture of animals

7. What is your favorite team(s)? Vancouver and Edmonton. Montreal, Ottawa, and Colorado to a lesser extent.
8. Who is your favorite player(s)? Mario Lemieux, Joe Sakic, Mattias Ohlund, Markus Naslund, and Todd Bertuzzi. Roenick is pretty tight as well.
9. What is your least favorite team(s)? Toronto, even though I like the majority of their players. :]
10. What is your favorite hockey moment(s)? Beating the Leafs back in 94, that was when I officially became a Canuck fan.
11. Arena that you would most like to watch a hockey game at: The one in Toronto. I'd love to see a stanley cup playoff game in Toronto as they play the Canucks.

12. What do you think of the site? It's tight, Matt's a good guy (except for his raging communist ideologies).
13. How did you hear about the site? Matt informed me of it at his prior site.
14. What change/changes do you wish to see in the near future? To be honest I like the old style of HF, but I'm sure I'll get used to this one. It's already growing on me. Other than that the lack of NHL hockey is the only thing holding back the growth of this site.
15. Would you be active in any pools that are run in the forums? Sure.

16. Besides hockey, do you watch any other sports?(if so, please name) Love football. Been watching it for the past two or three years pretty religiously. Love the Texans. Baseball is alright but I haven't watched it as much as I used to. In baseball I like the Giants, Jays, Mariners, and A's (in that order).
17. What kind of music do you listen to?(please name your favorite artist/group) Rock, punk, old rock, rap, classical.
Favourite artists would be: Pearl Jam, Tupac, Millencolin, NOFX, the Hip, Tom Petty, Dire Straits, Wu Tang, Beethoven, the Beatles, Anthrax, Obie Trice, Candlebox, the Pumpkins, Matthew Good
18. Favorite movie, T.V show and/or video game... I liked the Witness by Eddie Lama. Not sure if it's my fave or not, but I don't see a lot of movies. For mainstream, Dumb and Dumber was a classic. Fave TV show would be the cnn news (when I watch that high it is by far the funniest thing ever -"This just in, Osama bin Laden could attack you at the local safeway").
19. Where is your dream vacation spot? I'd like to see South America. There is a student organization event in Caracas in August I would love to go to but I'm taking summer classes this year so prawlie can't make it. Perhaps I'll do the trip to Latin America in about a year.

1. What does your screen name mean? Matt Cooke is one of my favourite current players, I love his style of play.

3. What is your occupation? As of today, I've been laid off for the summer, but am currently almost on line with another job.
4. How long have you been posting on fan forums: B. Veteran(1-3 years) HF was my first serious forum posting, which was in 2003. So, two years.
5. What is your background/nationality? My family originated in Liverpool.
6. Tell us something intersting about yourself... I like to listen to depressing music in my room, alone, in the dark.

16. Besides hockey, do you watch any other sports? I love watching the NFL. I enjoy the MLB playoffs and I occasionally watch CFL games. I really get into NCAA March Madness every year too.
17. What kind of music do you listen to? I listen to various genres of music. Everything from Ska/Indie to Rap/Hip-Hop. I can't name a favourite.
18. Favorite movie, T.V show and/or video game... My favourite movies would have to be Apocalypse Now, Training Day, The Thin Red Line and Tigerland. My Favourite television show is probably Holmes on Homes, The O.C. and Pilot Guides.
19. Where is your dream vacation spot? Chaweng Beach, on the island of Koh Samui, in Southeastern Thaliand.

I volunteered for The Golf Channel last summer during the Nationwide Tour's CPGA Championship at Whistle Bear G.C. in Cambridge. Movie: Not a fan of movies either, but Caddyshack is my favourite.

Video game: I don't play many video games, but when I do they're usually a sports game. Madden NFL and Tiger Woods PGA Tour on the PS2 are the best games.

I have many. Watching Gretzky play his last game on television. Being in Florida on a holiday and while everyone was out partying I stayed in the hotel room and watched the leafs win game 4 over the Ottawa Senators to sweep the series.

Maple Leaf Gardens was a building that I'd love to visit. Memorial Stadium in St. John's has a wealth of memories from the St. John's Maple Leafs that I remember when I was a young child.

I am a beach person, so anywhere you go in Cuba is OK for me.
Cayo Coco was the least commercial of all the places, with Varadero being the most commercial, not that its a bad thing . . .just not my thing.

I was in Santiago de Cuba in Feb... The weather, beach and Mohito's were all good but the food was practically uneatable. I?m not a picky eater either. I have heard good things about some of the resorts in Varadero but nothing from the other two places you?ve mentioned. I know the food is usually sub par in Cuba but even the person I was with and the people we met who have been to cuba before said this place was exceptionally bad

Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto because I grew up in Toronto, lived in Calgary for 8 years or so and got to be a part of their Stanley Cup win and Vancouver because I'm here now and it's such a great place to live and having a hockey team is a real plus. So I'm happy to support them, if only they'd show up for a game or two. I'm really concerned that if the hockey stoppage lasts much longer I might have to become a baseball or worse, a basketball fan :eek:

It refers to the nickname given to my city, which is famous for it's hockey team and it's fans (the Detroit Red Wing have won more Stanley Cups than any other American team, making them one of the most popular teams in America today).

And there's another writer out there named Jim Dwyer--not a hockey guy like me. The guy who owns jimdwyer.com? Not me again. People say I look like Steve Wariner, a country singer, but I can't think of anyone I'd characterize myself as except Gary Doak (Bruins) because I can't skate that well, but I block a lot of shots.
