I am in the middle of watching game 2 of the mighty ducks and colorado,
and BOY do they ever look good!!the way they are playing right now they dont need giguere, and plus bryzgalov just tied his playoff shutout record thing. Anyone remember 2003?This year's a repeat. Colorado will be gone in 5.This is a big surprise to me as Anaheim was in a "re-build-ing" year. As if! Selanne, Niedermayer, Bryzgalov...
They are underdogs coming out of nowhere, so watch out western conference!:boogie:
Unbelievable.
Joffery Lupul scored all four goals for Anaheim tonight, including the overtime winner, to put his Mighty Ducks up 3-0 against the Avalanche.
2ND - 09:02 Joffrey Lupul (4), Slap Shot - Assists: Dustin Penner and Vitaly Vishnevski
3RD - 08:54 Joffrey Lupul (5), Wrist Shot - Assist: Sean O`Donnell
3RD - 10:40 Joffrey Lupul (6), Wrist Shot - Assist: Dustin Penner
OT - 16:30 Joffrey Lupul (7), Slap Shot - Assist: Dustin Penner

When you're hot, you're hot. :)
I wouldn't say it's hot... this team is just good.
I believe they were the third best team in the league by winning % after Christmas, only behind SJ and Detroit.
A lot of people laughed at me when about 2 weeks before the playoffs I took Cheechoo, Thornton, Marleau, McDonald, Selanee and Niedermayer... I'm looking pretty good now :D
Too bad I loaded up on Rangers. Bah.

You wouldn't agree with me if I said the sky was blue.
:rollover:
I was only talking about Lupul anyway.

Serves you right for letting your dislike of Brodeur and the Devils affect your decisions.:wicked: :D

The ducks are playing SO well right now its unbelievable. They've pretty much taken command of that series, and Im gunna be really suprised if it goes past 5, im almost expecting a sweep.
Very good team right now, they're going to be scary when some of those players mature a bit... Next year for the ducks is going to be unreal.

I remember you posting in March that the Ducks were looking impressive. Insightful as always. Right now they are in that zone were the team just seems to be doing all the little things correctly and some people are having a good run of luck and skill and it is all paying off. Call it the Cinderella factor or a fluke or whatever. I hope they sweep the Av's.

The Ducks have played solid hockey since Jan.
So, this should come as no surprise
The Russian continues to impress..as does the coaching of Caryle.

Once again, Ducks over Sabres in 7.

They swept the Av's. I have a smug little grin on my face as I think about that one. Micheal farber of Sports Illustrated ( yes I know  ) called Patrice Brisebois the anti-Foote. The Av;s were outplayed and out musceled from what I saw. Although Brian Burke will get much of the credit for Niedermayer signing and the Fedorv for Beauchemain, as well as taking a chance on Selanne, it should be noted that most of the good young players on the Ducks roster are a result of work done by Bryan Murray.:thumb:

Kudo's to Murray :thumb:
Once again, Ducks over Sabres in 7.Hmm, you picked both teams to be eliminated in the first round.
3. Calgary vs 6. Anaheim - CALGARY in 6
4. Buffalo vs 5. Philadelphia - Philadelphia in 6 http://www.hockeystation.com/showpost.php?p=40771&postcount=39
And a person can't change their opinion after the first round?:conspire:

Didn't you know? If you cheer for any team other than the one you grew up watching, you are a bandwagon jumper.:D

I'm just curious why he's says "once again" despite not originally picking that as the SCF matchup.

So what with you and the, Go Oilers and Senators? Seems like you too are a bandwagon jumper. :D
That's ok. You wouldn't be the first pot to call a kettle black.

Let's be polite with each other please.
Since we are talking about one team and not hockey in general, this thread should be moved to the Anaheim Forum.
So what with you and the, Go Oilers and Senators? Seems like you too are a bandwagon jumper. :DYou are correct. Since 2003 when they beat the New York Islanders in the first round, I've been on the SENSible bandwagon. :thumb:

Since both teams that I picked were eliminated, I have seen the light. After the 1st round I said that these two teams were going to be in the Finals. Some people told me that it wouldn't happen but so far, my picks look fine. PDO thinks his logic of the Ducks not being as good as the Oilers or Sharks will change that. And I told him "Screw logic".

Yes well, PDO also thinks "logically" that a certain goaltender is "average"...:wicked:

Logic is: On a powerplay, a shot deflects off a blocker, so far it creates a race for the puck, between the player coming out of the penalty box and the opposing goalie. The said goalie wins the race, but shoots the puck into the player, who regains control of the puck and scores on an empty net.
That is logical, right?

That was clearly a set play, executed like a fine ballet (I think).
Only MacT could pull something like that out of his bag of tricks.

You do realize it takes 4 wins and not just 2 to win a series right?:boogie:
Yeah, please don't be saying stuff like that. Thanks.
