LW: Nash
C: Brule
RW: Zherdev
D: Klesla
D: Berard

if Brule becomes the star he's capable of becoming that #1 line is going to be nasty of course give or take on the defenders i'd replace klesla with foote if he remains that long or assuming that the blue jackets don't add another top notch defender when im sure they probably will

If you are talking about Brule being that good it might take more than a couple of years. He is good but he is kind of small for the NHL level.

That top line looks sweet!:thumb: It can become one of the best lines in hockey as Nash is one of the best wingers already(another 2 goals last night) while Zherdev has some major skill and Brule is a fiesty little competitor with loads of speed and skill who doesn't back down from anyone. This line is a perfect mixture of everything and will have loads of success.Klesla and Berard on defense adds more speed and offense and the powerplay will be deadly.I have Berard in my hockey pool this year and he was doing really good until he hurt his back and is now out for the season.

Cheers

Brule may be small but he plays like a big man! Just think of Theo Fleury and his competiveness and you have Gilbert Brule.

Cheers

yea he is small but he is fast as lightning i dunno maybe having federov in columbus will help him develop faster...a lot can be said for having a veteran like that around

The same was said of Brian Gionta, and he has 42 goals this year.:thumb:

Brule was the only other 18 yr old to make his NHL team out of training camp other than Sidney Crosby.

I wouldn't worry about him.

Remember, this was the guy who was ranked 2nd behind Crosby for most of their last two pre-draft seasons.

only thing im concerned is as to the reason why brule hasn't been called up from syracuse....when players like hartigan, picard, etc have been called up....why no brule towards the end of the season? i know he was playing earlier in the season but i'd like to see him in nash play together.

Brule is playing for his junior club the Vancouver Giants in the WHL playoffs. He was sent back to junior in December after his sholder healed.;)
